I am expressing my disgust of the Tuesday June20th airing of the 1.4 lb. dogs that were bred too small, then aired on GMA fostering a market for such animals. It really goes much deeper than that, but I’d be here all day if I over-anylized the cause in an attempt to get the problem resolved…. greed of breeders, greed of producers, evil in general. If any veiwers saw an ounce of happiness in these creatures of God, it is through His goodness that they not suffer because of our ignorance in going places we shouldn’t go…. trying to make more money. What I saw were nervous pets who knew they were abnormally small and were basically unhappy. I was the owner of a toy Pomeranian who had many health problems due to breeding them down too small. He lived a medically troubled life and died before he should of. I gave him God’s love and spent a small fortune on him. Oh yes, he was FULL of love and an extreme joy to me, but I learned a lesson that I would like to share. These beautiful creatures were originally created at the right size, BY GOD, and were not meant to be bred in the manner humans are doing to them. We are, in my opinion, slapping God in the face by sending Him the message that they were not good enough for us, and playing “God” ourselves similar to our attempts to clone, transplant organs, etc…. these actions are EVIL and as a human race we are going places we shouldn’t….all for money. My specific lesson is owners of unusually small breeds of dogs need to prepare themselves to 1) watch their pet suffer, even under the best love and conditions, and 2) be prepared to experience significant monetary expenses as they are extremely medically needy and vets are charging like brain surgeons these days. I painfully had to make decisions at the vet that broke my heart…. after spending thousands of dollars trying to keep my Pomeranian in decent health, I could afford no more and had to watch him die a slow and fairly agonizing death. My heart is broken to this day. SHAME ON US. For creating a market for these creatures of God KNOWING THEY WILL SUFFER BECAUSE OF OUR ACTIONS. I understand that this happens in many different arenas in life and not just dog breeding, such as drug users creating a market for activity that leads to many totally innocent people dying, etc.. I do believe it is time for us to be honest and concerned about good and bad more than we are…slow down to ponder our actions… perhaps pick up a Bible. If you even have one, check out “Numbers 32:23″ And for those that don’t have a bible, nor full senses, it basically says “you can be sure that your sin will track you down” (Msg.)

I am a cross-country motorcyclest, and would like an answer to the following ABC “Safe Driving” comments today on GMA. They state that we all should follow behind a semi- rig at 100 yds! I have heard this ridiculous suggestion from several sources. I wonder why the big rig drivers don’t follow their own requests?? I, and everyone reading this has been tail-gated at 70-80 mph plus by the rigs, and they won’t back off until someone moves over. Also, being close to a big rig has absolutely nothing to do with his lane changes. Believe me when I tell you, a big grill in the mirror of a motorcycle @ freeway speeds will rattle your cage!!

I would like to know why you don”t put a normal working person on GMA and get that person’s opinion on the war in Irac and the election process. The price of gasoline is also top priority. The normal working person that is paying taxes and not getting anywhere. I would like to be that person to express the opions of countless Americans. Thanks, Thomas Weber.

    Dear GMA:

I am an adoption Social Worker for Dept. of Social Services in MA and feel compelled to reply to the story you just aired.

    YOU MUST BE KIDDING!!!!

How could those elderly (86 and 89) grandparents POSSIBLY meet that child’s needs? Who will take him to the park? Rollerblading? Bike Riding?
That child, in my opinion, and IF HIS PARENTS’ PARENTAL RIGHTS ARE TERMINATED, should be put up for adoption. A young, permanent family could love and raise him. Also, an OPEN ADOPTION AGREEMENT, while usually with parents (not grandparents) could be worked out. This is a legal agreement to have them stay in touch–times agreed by all adults–so that he could have the best of both worlds: a younger family, (who will more likely be ALIVE when he goes to college!) AND his loving grandparents.

By the way, it is NEVER about the money! Foster parents do NOT make money on parenting kids!

Finally, please CONSIDER THE ALTERNATIVE YOU SUGGEST: the child remains with the grandparents, and in ten years (ages 96 and 99) they die!
THEN WHAT????? This boy will be a teen–AND ALL ALONE!

Wouldn’t ADOPTION and WITH AN OPEN ADOPTION AGREEMENT BE BETTER? Depending on the parents’ situation, it could ALSO include them.

Thank-you for allowing me to comment.

    Robin,
Welcome back. We missed you. Thanks so much for letting everyone know how much your faith means to you. I know God will give you strength. When you shared the handkerchief story and Diane put her hand over yours, it brought me to tears. I am praying for you and your recovery. My sister had breast cancer and is doing well six years later. She, you and all the other survivors are an inspiration to us all.
    God be with you.

I’m very pleased with your ice cream contest. since I travel a lot, can I obtain a list of the ice cream parlor’s that didn’t make the final four? I can’t get to them all but it’s worth trying!

I was watching my favorite show GMA, this morning about toenail fungus. I used TEA TREE ESSENTIAL OIL and the fungus went away in 6 months completely. Tea tree oil costs $6.00 and there in NO SIDE AFFECTS AT ALL. I suggust everyone try this first before the laser.
