Dear GMA:
I am an adoption Social Worker for Dept. of Social Services in MA and feel compelled to reply to the story you just aired.
YOU MUST BE KIDDING!!!!
How could those elderly (86 and 89) grandparents POSSIBLY meet that child’s needs? Who will take him to the park? Rollerblading? Bike Riding?
That child, in my opinion, and IF HIS PARENTS’ PARENTAL RIGHTS ARE TERMINATED, should be put up for adoption. A young, permanent family could love and raise him. Also, an OPEN ADOPTION AGREEMENT, while usually with parents (not grandparents) could be worked out. This is a legal agreement to have them stay in touch–times agreed by all adults–so that he could have the best of both worlds: a younger family, (who will more likely be ALIVE when he goes to college!) AND his loving grandparents.
By the way, it is NEVER about the money! Foster parents do NOT make money on parenting kids!
Finally, please CONSIDER THE ALTERNATIVE YOU SUGGEST: the child remains with the grandparents, and in ten years (ages 96 and 99) they die!
THEN WHAT????? This boy will be a teen–AND ALL ALONE!
Wouldn’t ADOPTION and WITH AN OPEN ADOPTION AGREEMENT BE BETTER? Depending on the parents’ situation, it could ALSO include them.

Why doesn’t any of these canidates talk about bring God back into the picture of running our country. Our country was founded on God but noone wants to talk about where they stand with putting prayer back into our schools and putting the state of Israel back as one. Do they not read the Bible, don’t they know what
god says about what is going to happen to our country when we pull our support away from his favorite city? Does anyone not know why Hurricane Katrina hit the USA, and what brought that on us, what about the day the Gaza Strip was opened, There are so many questions I have for these Canidates but I will never get the chance. on today’s show i agree with sam! there is so much chatter on top of each other that i quit watching show off and on because of it. Please let
the topic or subject be explained for at least one minute. Katie Lee
is a constant chatter box. please put a space between one comment
that would be a big help. Hoda was a little more respectful to the gentleman. i think they deserved the embarrassment. Evidently
the camera crew only films, you do not really listen to what the public hears—-just a bunch of chatter overlapping each other!

On this morning’s show you had a lady offering suggestions on getting a job or occupying time for laid off workers. I would like to add my comment. VOLUNTEER!!! In Florida we are great on volunteering for us seniors who are retired but it could lead to a jop. I had a kazoo band at Sunset Hills elementary school and after disbandating it was offered a job in the school’s cafateria, which I did not want or take. I volunteered with library in our city of Tarpon Springs==was offered a job. Did not take it!!You have to have a good work ethic though. Thanks for your consideration!! Robin, I read where the V Foundation donated money for research for Triple Negative Breast Cancer. The man I work with has a 34 year old daughter who was diagnosed with this in January. I had never heard of Triple Negative and most of my female friends had zero idea as to the type of cancer this is. I followed your journey that you so bravely shared with viewers as I am following Mandy’s journey. It’s definitely been a tough road for this beautiful soul. We need to “shout it out” to all women that this disease can hit anyone at any age. Mandy is in the 4% of caucasian women to be diagnosed with this cancer. I would love to put her in touch with you if you so desire. Keep up the beautiful spirit – you are an inspiration to all women who have this cancer. We all pray for a cure soon. its an old comment to your airing on april 7,2004 i believe it was on look and listen. forgotten or just not wanting to remember i am the step father of the person our community is said be apenny or chosen.all these me and my relatives have mislead him to believe hes crazy i never question him on what its about.i know hes doing somethings to say that he is apenny or other names given to him for his hearing and visual.how can can explain this to him without hate from him. i would saything that i know he would hear but i would not speak to him.i know many sistuation he would get into wasnt his fault . i was wondering if you would come on down to san bernardino,ca to ask question around community and hand him this information
