Why is it that our country is always publizing the negative asspects of this country more so than the positive I believe we beget alot of what we here and see from our media .Im not saying that we dont need to hear the bad . However that comes with negativity and if we show more positivity we may produce and get it.
I’d like to comment on your segment about vegetarian kids/adolescents. I’m a foreign medical graduate and my husband is in Pediatrics; I worry that your segment may mislead viewers to think that vegetarian diets are ok for everyone, especially with the statement that one of the anchors said, “it’s better to start them young.” As a physician, I would have to disagree, since a lot of medical problems can ensue from depriving very young children of the protein that they need. I hope the medical consequence of giving a vegetarian diet at the wrong age can be re-discussed.
Katrina – 2 years later… There is no doubt that FEMA, state, and local officials failed during Katrina. There are lots of questions and I have a few: Isn’t it time to delineate more specifically the individual, local, state, and fed roles? Wasn’t the failure to delineate roles during Katrina a clear contributor to the problem? For example, why would FEMA now dig a well for a school – isn’t that local and state responsibility? FEMA provided temporary housing – as far as I know there is no requirement for FEMA to rebuild individual permanent housing - isn’t that an individual responsibility with local, and state (with fed assistance) requirements to establish infrastructure? Shouldn’t local and state government make the hard decisions to NOT rebuild in the vulnerable areas? And if the decision is made to rebuild in vulnerable areas – whose responsibility is it when the next hurricane hits? Should the state force large insurance companies to act responsibly by reviewing and revoking licensing for those who failed to live up to their obligations where obligations existed; by directing the State Attorney General to investigate insurance company acts of fraud and take appropriate action? What now are the individual responsibilities and options - Move on? Move out? Wait? In today’s news coverage, one lady moved on with her life; many have moved out; others continue to wait… Wait for what? Wait for some unspecified assistance from the same government agencies and management who could not even effect or coordinate an evacuation of the region? By what means/laws/administrative procedures would this occur now or over the next year that has not been reviewed to-date?
Can you and your Producers please get away from Tourists standing behind the speakers yelling, hooting and waving to family memebers or friends at home. We the listeners want to hear what is being said and are not interested in these people standing around waiting for their 15 seconds of fame. I know you think this is creating excitement about what ever is taking place, but I see it as a big distraction and it definitely takes away the professionalism that I’m sure you are attempting to project.
We missed GoodMorningAmerica Aug 28 segment on Lymes disease. My daughter (in her 40s, with three young children) is in her fourth year of suffering, and we are all desperate for the kind of information you featured. Do you have any kind of recap or summary to make available?
Thank you for your kindness.
Hello,
A friend said she watched two medical news pieces of interest- one was about a woman who was successfully treated for advanced lyme disease by a doctor in CA using a decompression chamber. The other was a doctor who precribed drugs for patients by first checking their DNA. My son has advanced lyme disease and needs to find a solution for his suffering. Please send me any info in order that we can search any new hopeful treatments that might be out there… Thank you. God bless you. Jo
p.s. email any info to: havhope#centurytel.net.
